 A Unified Effort for Västerbotten

The Västerbotten Sweden project (2023–2026) laid the foundation for something bigger. Through close collaboration between tourism businesses, municipalities, and destinations, a shared direction was created for a sustainable and competitive export of Västerbotten as a travel destination.

Now the next phase begins
The work continues within Region Västerbotten Tourism, which takes overall responsibility for communication and the ongoing development of the Västerbotten Sweden brand.

About Västerbotten Sweden

The Västerbotten Sweden project was a three-year (2023-2025) joint venture in which Västerbotten's export-interested tourism companies, municipalities and destinations join forces to jointly ensure the quality of a responsible and collective export. Partners in the project are initially the County Council of Västerbotten, Gold of Lapland, Visit Skellefteå and Visit Umeå. Other partners are all municipalities of Västerbotten. 

The project was funded by the European Union and the County Council of Västerbotten.
